Señorío de San Vicente from Viñedos y Bodegas Sierra Cantabria is a winery based in the Rioja municipality of San Vicente de la Sonsierra, place of origin of great wines.
Everything starts in a vineyard with an exceptional location, La Canoca, with an indigenous almost extinguished variety planted, Tempranillo peludo, with special conditions to give birth to complex and age-worthy wines. The result is a major wine that is named after the winery. “San Vicente”.
Very recently, San Vicente (Señorío de San Vicente winery) has joined Asia Awards 2021 and won GOLD MEDAL Award in this prestigious competition:

Interview of Mr. Arnaud Lisoir – Export Director
Question 1: Do you already export to Asia ? If yes, where ? If no, what type of importers & distributors are you looking for in Asia ?
We are a six wineries family business, from the Rioja region but producing in three prestigious Spanish regions : Rioja, Toro and Castilla-la-Mancha. The Eguren family wine business started in 1875. We already export all around China with some of our brands, such as Sierra Cantabria, Teso La Monja and Dominio de Eguren. But we are looking for an importer for Señorío de San Vicente and this San Vicente wine. This importer has to take care of our Boutique Winery, create a brand and give all the attention that this wine deserves. We want to build a long-term business relationship as we always do with our partners, growing together and building a success story.
Question 2: What is the most unique and qualitative part of your products, different from competitors?
Señorío de San Vicente is the first project of Marcos Eguren (One of the most recognized winemaker in Spain) back in the 80’s. A wine made 100 % TEMPRANILLO PELUDO, a variety of grape that almost disappeared in the Rioja region. Few wines in the entire world are produced 100 % with this Tempranillo Peludo grape. A wine with character, personality, which lives up to what wine is! A winery designed to elaborate from a single vineyard (La Canoca 18 hectares) a unique and exceptional wine. One vineyard, one wine, one winery! Inimitable, delicate and prestigious.
Question 3: When did you start to export your brand worldwide, and what is your development plan for the next years ?
In the late 60’s we started to export our brands worldwide, beginning with Switzerland and the European market. At the moment, the local market is still predominant but in the next years we want to balance that percentage to give the international market more weight in the Eguren family Business. And we believe China is the right country to invest our efforts in.
