Nota Giuliano was founded by Antonio Nota in 1952. At that time, a small amount of wine produced was sold mainly to Monticello d’Alba and the surrounding area.
His son, Giuliano, expressed his confidence in the real potential of the company, together with his wife, Aidid, who decided to expand his business by creating a new winery, thus realizing new production and commercial facilities.
The device combines modernity and tradition and is a necessary combination for improving the quality of wine. Its temperature-controlled stainless steel tank regulates the temperature during fermentation.
The company continued to grow after three generations, including wine makers Fabrizio and Massimo, and daughter Serena. This enthusiasm is also passed on to future generations.
Fifty years have passed since my first grape harvests, I was a young boy and it was obviously all just good fun for me, but I remember that it was a moment of celebration for everyone, a moment of great satisfaction, where the fruits of the past year’s labour were harvested.
Great changes have been made over the years, all aimed at improving the quality of the grapes and consequently of the wines, but even up to now, although many years have passed, I still experience the same moments in the grape harvest. I feel joy and pride for my children after all the hard work, and for the grandchildren who continue to play, unaware of the fact that much like me, the passion for this work already lies deep within them. This work was done with many sacrifices and hard work, but it is well rewarded by the satisfaction that one gets when, with wine glass in hand, one can raise the people’s spirits with good cheer.
UNIQUE WINES COME FROM INNOVATION
They not only differentiated their products with the high quality of their wines, but also develop and protect a project through the copyright of Washington, making their wines innovate in markets around the world. During the harvest, They remove a piece of grape water that they used to produce their wine, and then we pack them in special pendants and place it on the neck of the bottle. Grapes have been stored for many years, giving the possibility to the final consumer to travel through the time by savoring the grapes from which the fine wine that they are tasting was done. In this way, they have the chance to find all the bonds of taste.
The pendant itself is used as a food package for all types of wine produced by the company (Barolo, Roero, Nebbiolo d’Alba, Barbera d’Alba, Dolcetto d’Alba, Roero Arneis, Langhe Favorita, Chardonnay and Moscato).
Their diligence leads them to the success today. They have received many credits in the past years. Particuliarly, their wines ROERO ARNEIS DOCG 2017 “SIREJ” and ROERO DOCG 2015 “RUNCAJOT” have won the GOLD MEDAL in AIN WINE CHALLENGE 2018!
