What is the name of the wine that has been winning several medals in the main international competitions?
Brazil, China, Canada, U.S.A., Angola, South Africa, Australia, Germany, France, are only some of the countries where Maria Saudade wines are exported!
Vinho Verde Region
The Vinhos Verdes / Minho region is Portugal’s largest winegrowing area and is located in the north-west of the country.
A wine with a fruity aroma, Maria Saudade carries within herself poetic references and expressions of feelings through her brand.
From the Cultivation to the Bottling
The quality of Maria Saudade’s grapes comes from natural reasons, such as the soil and microclimate but also from the cultural practices of cultivation and maturation of the grapes producers. That is the most importante stage of the wine’s performance definition and also one the most important reasons why Alvarinho is so valuable.
In the process of winemaking, Maria Saudade team follows the oenological traditional methods and practices considered the most appropriated for this subregion which contribute to extract all the quality of the grapes that arrive to the wine cellar.
It’s in this stage that Quintas de Melgaço grants identity to Maria Saudade and all its wines.
Inspired by Portuguese poetic traditions
Maria Saudade brand adopted a simple handmade embroidery. Valentine’s scarves are culturally synonymous with beauty, simplicity and fidelity.
Ideal to consume with seafood and fish, but also with white meats, salads and vegetarian dishes.
Alvarinho is also the “perfect match” with international food like sushi, sashimi, Italian pastas and cheese.
We are proud to have Maria Saudade as winners on our AIN Wine Challenge 2018 Competition! We congratulate them once again and wish them good luck!
