The owners of Società Agricola Ribusieriare Mario Scala and Massimo Giondi, longstanding friends who share an extensive experience in wines as they come from families who grew vines. Today, Mario and Massimo continue in the tradition in beautiful Tuscany.
Their wines are today’s creations of experience, a passion for wine making, a culture and love of the enchanting area, and a desire to uphold their family tradition. Their project is dedicated to their children as being of greatest importance for the future of the family’s estate. The wines take the name of a son or daughter, while the symbols on the labels represent the ancient writings of the Etruscan alphabet and represent the elements of nature that characterize the balance in the vineyards.
Società Agricola Ribusieri winery is in one of Italy’s most beautiful areas: Cinigiano, in the heart of the Montecucco area, not far from mount Amiata and the hilltop village of Montalcino. The verdant province of Grosseto is known not only for the quality of its wines, among which Brunello di Montalcino, Morellino di Scansano, S. Antimo and Monteregio di MassaMarittima, but also for the many food-and-wine itineraries that visitorscome here to experience.
The soil and unique micro climate bring to us CHIARANOTTE, a delightfully fresh, fruity and mineraly white Vermentino doc; LE MACIOLE instead is a red Montecucco doc, full-bodied, fruity to the nose and with a charming lasting flavour; SOLAURA, a red Sangiovese doc Maremma Toscana, is deep-coloured and full-bodied, with spicy mineral notes; last but not least is SOFIALVENTO, the result of the white vinification of Sangiovese grapesthat has created this exciting spumante brut rose’with something of a red in its character.
Those who visit the winery can thus discover the best labels and venture out along the splendid footpaths of mount Amiata, the summit of which is worth reaching to admire the spectacular views. You can also quickly reach the neighbouring towns of Montalcino, Pienza, Montepulciano, Chianciano, Pitigliano and Sovana, and the hilly outposts of the Maremma such as Cinigiano, Scansano, and Massa Marittima.
