Cantine San Marzano: How the italian wine-maker sharing their dream with the world?

RESPECT AND MODERNITY

With a landscape painted by the sun, Cantine San Marzano plant and grow dreams in their vineyard.

San Marzano is a winery, emblem of a unique way of conceiving wine in Puglia that finds its source in two values: respect and modernity.

Respect for a tradition that has ancient roots and lives today in the eyes, the hands and the work of their winemakers.

Modernity for their idea of wine, widespread and convivial, always open to new languages, connected to a fine stylistic approach, made of elegance and clean tasting.

WHERE DOES THEIR GREAT WINES COME FROM?

They believe that great grapes come from great vines.

They also believed in the “old bush vines” and the world has rewarded them by welcoming them everywhere as a synonym for Primitivo.

They aim at an integration of the potential of many grapes that grow between their two seas, the Adriatic and the Ionian, and the possibilities that different cultures and markets offer them every day.

They are not only this, but also what they want to become: promoters of a continuous research, actors projected into a future of sharing, territory and beauty.

Operating as a cooperative to this day and the leading player on the Apulian wine-making industry, Cantine San Marzano was established in 1962, when 19 vine growers from San Marzano di San Giuseppe, whose families had farmed the land for generations, joined forces to maximise their efforts. history

Today, Cantine San Marzano brings together some 1,200 vine growers and it has over 1,500 hectares of vineyards. Its President Francesco Cavallo has been able to fully appreciate and ride the change in the Apulian wine sector, promoting a real cultural revolution among members and pursuing the modernisation of production facilities and the development of an increasingly qualified, highly skilled, young workforce.

In the past, Cantine San Marzano has received enormous credits by medias. particularly, they won 3 GOLD MEDALS  and 1 SILVER MEDAL in AIN WINE CHALLENGE 2018 !
